1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HeyDogWalker ("the Service"), operated by HeyDogWalker ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

HeyDogWalker is a business management platform for professional dog walkers and pet sitters. Our services include:

• AI-powered receptionist that answers inquiries and books appointments.
• Client management, scheduling, and booking tools.
• Walk reports and GPS tracking features.
• Public directory listing for pet owner discovery.
• Payment processing for your dog walking services.
• Business analytics and growth tools.

3. Account Registration

To use HeyDogWalker, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• All activities that occur under your account.
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you are a legitimate dog walking or pet sitting professional (or intend to become one).

4. Free Tier and Paid Subscriptions

Free Tier

HeyDogWalker offers a free tier that includes basic business tools and a directory listing. Free accounts may have usage limits on certain features.

Paid Plans

Paid subscriptions unlock premium features including the AI receptionist, advanced analytics, and priority directory placement. Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually through Stripe.

Billing

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 14 days of a charge for refund requests.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use HeyDogWalker for any unlawful purpose or in violation of local, state, or federal laws.
• Misrepresent your qualifications, certifications, or insurance status.
• Upload harmful, offensive, or misleading content to your profile.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data without authorization.
• Use automated scripts or bots to scrape data from the platform.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

HeyDogWalker uses artificial intelligence (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to generate content including:

• AI receptionist responses to client inquiries.
• Walk report summaries and business insights.
• Suggested responses and scheduling recommendations.

Important: AI-generated content is provided as a convenience and may not always be accurate. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated communications before they are sent to your clients. HeyDogWalker is not liable for any errors, misunderstandings, or damages resulting from AI-generated content.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to HeyDogWalker (photos, bios, service descriptions, etc.). By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display it on the platform and in our public directory for the purpose of operating the Service.

You may remove your content at any time by deleting it from your account or by deleting your account entirely.

8. Client Data and Privacy

You are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from your clients before storing their personal information (name, address, pet details, etc.) on HeyDogWalker. You agree to comply with all applicable privacy laws regarding your clients' data.

Our handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Payment Processing

Payments for bookings are processed through Stripe. By using our payment features, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. HeyDogWalker is not responsible for payment disputes between you and your clients — though we will assist in resolving them where possible.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• HeyDogWalker is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the Service.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• We are not responsible for the conduct, quality, or safety of any dog walking or pet sitting services arranged through the platform.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HeyDogWalker, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your dog walking/pet sitting activities.

12. Termination

• By You: You may delete your account at any time. Active subscriptions will not be renewed after cancellation.
• By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason with 30 days' notice (or immediately for serious violations).

Upon termination, your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of HeyDogWalker shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If negotiation fails, disputes will be settled through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive your right to participate in a class action lawsuit.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of HeyDogWalker after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
